Two lists

Where is the best place to live?
The United Nation just published the 2007/2008 Human Development Index rankings, the index used 2005 figures for life expectancy, educational levels and real per capita income to rank 175 nations of the world. For better understanding the index, go to their website.

How rotten is your country?
Another list is of my interest also, since much is debated as to how much corruption is going on in the Philippines, check out The 2006 Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index. Well, if you have any sense of what corruption does to a country, you will find that the more corrupted a country is, the harder it is for anything to work at all, I mean anything! We have experienced it first hand in the Philippines.
